In Heerhugowaard we built a storage loft with two new attic rooms for the Sloots family. It is one of our real projects and a good example of what is possible under the roof of a family home.
Since 2022 Heerhugowaard and Langedijk together form the municipality of Dijk en Waard. The town has grown strongly since the 1970s, so there are many family homes from the last decades of the previous century. At the Sloots family, the son wanted to sleep in the attic and his father wanted a hobby room. We created two rooms in the attic with metal stud walls and roof windows, and built a storage loft with a hatch. Bettine Sloots later told us that Richard converted the attic into two proper rooms and also helped with a garage extension.
